Advanced Eyecare was founded by Dr. Robert Palozej in 1983 to provide exceptional vision care to the Ellington community. His son, Dr. Matthew Palozej, joined the practice in 2017 and formally took over ownership in 2025, continuing the family legacy of advanced eyecare and eyewear for the entire family.
For over 40 years, Advanced Eyecare has offered comprehensive eye exams, medical eye care, and a full-service optical boutique featuring the latest lens technology and eyewear styles. Its memorial day weekend ( sunday) I was having a sudden eye issue so i went online googling emergency eyecare in ct after calling my regular eye dr whos office has no emergency care after hour care apparently. I came across advanced eyecare . I called and left a message explaining i was not a regualr patient and i was having this issue. Dr Matt called me back very quickly. We spoke about the issue and symptoms i was having. He told me what he thought was going on and called in some eyedrops to cvs. Dr Matt was so kind and caring. He even text me a few hours later to make sure i was able to pick up the medication. I am blown away by him and how helpful he was especially with me not being a regular patient to his office. I am so thankful for his help, great Dr. Its hard to come by such quality service these days. Thank you thank you thank you!
