‘Dr. Bob’ has been practicing full scope Optometry for 37 years. His pre-med education was from Providence College where he received his Bachelors degree in Biology and graduated cum laude. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry where he graduated magna cum laude. His clinical training was at the Boston Eye Clinic, West Haven Veterans Hospital, The Geselle Institute at Yale University and Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, NY.

He has been awarded the Optometrist of the Year Award for Connecticut and New England. He is an active member of The Connecticut Association of Optometrists and The American Optometric Association. He enjoys all facets of Optometry and enjoys utilizing the latest technology. He especially enjoys the treatment of corneal disease and glaucoma.

‘Dr. Matt’ completed his bachelor’s degree in Health Science Studies at Quinnipiac University, and went on to complete his Doctorate of Optometry at Inter American University. Dr. Matt gained extensive clinical experience with dry eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, traumatic brain injury, vision therapy, specialty contact lenses, corneal disease, and retinal disease with special focus on diabetic retinopathy.

He was accepted to work with the 82nd Airborne Division and armed forces at the Womack Army Medical Center, where he helped rehabilitate those members of the U.S. Army whom were suffering the ocular sequelae of traumatic brain injuries. He was also accepted to work with the Omni Eye Services in Atlanta, Georgia where he examined patients side-by-side with glaucoma, corneal, retinal, and cataract surgeons. Dr. Matt sees patients of all ages and is currently accepting new patients!
